Planned Giving

Planned Giving

The Humane Society of Carroll County (HSCC) relies on the compassion of supporters like you to carry out our lifesaving mission. Planned gifts help ensure that animals in need receive care, protection, and hope—not just today, but for generations to come.
While many people give during their lifetime, far fewer extend that generosity through their estate plans. By including HSCC in your will or trust, you create a lasting legacy of care for animals who need us most.

How Your Gift Can Help

Through your estate plan, you can provide for your family and friends while making a lasting impact on animals in our care. Some donors choose to direct their gift to where the need is greatest, while others designate funds for specific programs or purposes. HSCC is happy to work with your attorney or estate planner to ensure your gift language reflects your wishes.

HSCC Legacy Society

Established on January 1, 2026, the HSCC Legacy Society exists to honor the many ways people help ensure a lasting future for animals in need. It embraces the families and loved ones of those who have remembered the Humane Society of Carroll County in their final wishes, recognizing the compassion behind those enduring gifts. It also acknowledges individuals who have chosen to include HSCC in their estate plans and have shared that intention with us.

The Legacy Society further celebrates the volunteers and community advocates who help raise awareness about planned giving, as well as trusted professionals whose guidance and support help connect caring individuals with meaningful ways to leave a legacy of kindness. Together, these collective efforts strengthen HSCC’s mission and ensure that care, protection, and hope continue for generations to come.
